1. Sensors (Essential)
- High precision gyroscope: This is the most important requirement. The app uses the rotation sensor to measure the oscillation period with precision to the nearest ten-thousandth of a second.
- Accelerometer: Used in conjunction with the gyroscope to stabilize the reading.
- Note: If your smartphone does not have a physical gyroscope (very rare in recent models, but possible in some entry-level models), the app will not be able to detect motion.
2. Software and Browser
- Modern Browser:
- iOS: Safari (version 13 or higher).
- Android: Chrome (updated version).
- HTTPS ProtocolFor security reasons, modern browsers allow access to motion sensors only if the app is loaded over a secure connection (HTTPS).
- PermitsThe browser must have permission to access “Motion and orientation sensors” (on iOS, explicit permission is asked on first launch).
3. Operating System

- Audio: Working speakers to hear the start and end measurement beeps, essential for operating without looking at the screen.
- Battery: Intensive use of the sensors and the screen always on during measurement sessions can consume battery faster than normal.
